It has come to my attention that many people are making a mistake with punctuation and quotes.

DO: James said "My name is James. James Sunderland."

DON'T: James said "My name is James. James Sunderland".

So yeah. Basically, even if periods or commas are not part of the quotation itself, it always goes inside the quote. However, if exclamation points and/or question marks are part of a quote, they go inside the quote. If they're not, they don't.

DO: James said "Mary... Could you really be in this town?"

DO: Did James really say "Mary... Could you really be in this town?" (As you can see here, the question mark is already there so there is no need to add another.)

So yeah. Cheers and what not.
