I see that the wiki has had an... interesting... day. I have already removed and/or edited all abusive posts, and I would like to remind everyone here that the Silent Hill wiki has rules in place governing the behavior of its users. We welcome debates and discussions, but antagonistic and abusive postings will not be allowed. This means no name calling, personal attacks, or offensive remarks aimed at minority groups or the mentally disabled. I have seen several such remarks made over the past hours, and let me be clear that this will not continue to happen. Abusive posters will be banned and their posts removed from here on out. This extends to our chat room: no personal attacks or open mocking of others will be allowed in chat either. Simply put, don't be a jerk.
That said, the admins on this wiki do understand the frustrations of our users. The Silent Hill series is very near and dear to each of us, so it's inevitable that tempers will flare during some arguments. We want to make sure that everyone knows that they are free to post their opinions and thoughts, so long as they remain civil. Feel free to reach out to any of our active admins - though we are all busy, we want to be as open and accessible to user comments and/or concerns as possible. If you feel that a user is being abusive, don't be afraid to reach out to the admins and let them handle it, rather than stoking the fire and making the situation worse. We will be glad to help wherever possible.
