True, but like I said before, scripts aren't always representative of the final intention. Christabella, for example, is called "Cristabella" in that script which is wrong and Dark Alessa is called "Samael". The fact that there are multiple scripts and cut content shows that ideas were created and discarded. Christabella and Dahlia being sisters could have been a discarded idea. I think they intentionally left their relationship in ambiguity.

Well, I have to play devil's advocate here.

"You have the script"

True, but like I said before, scripts aren't always representative of the final intention. Christabella, for example, is called "Cristabella" in that script which is wrong and Dark Alessa is called "Samael". The fact that there are multiple scripts and cut content shows that ideas were created and discarded. Christabella and Dahlia being sisters could have been a discarded idea. I think they intentionally left their relationship in ambiguity.

"The novel"

The canonicity of the novel is debateable, plus it's in Japanese and there may be room for error regarding misinterpretation. Plus I haven't actually seen it yet.

"the set designer confirming that they are biologically related"

She says they wanted the burning woman to look like she could have been an ancestor of Dahlia or Christabella. This doesn't factually mean they're sisters. I mean, even you and me are "biologically related" to an extent. It could just mean that Dahlia and Christabella share a common ancestor from hundreds of years ago.

"Alessa calling Christabella 'family' in the movie itself"

I know Christabella calls Dahlia "sister" in the film, but it could mean as a "community" terms or a "fellowship" term, like "Sister Margaret" a nun. Same with the "family" thing.

I think the best thing to do is say it "heavily implies it", post our evidence of them being sisters, and leave it to the reader to interpret it as they will.
