1. Were any of you pissed off after the Silent Hill film franchise ended after Revelation? Why or why not?
2. Do any of you think Cybil will return if there is an upcoming film? If so then why or why not?
3. Who were your 5 favorite characters in Silent Hill 2006 and Revelations? Why or why not?
4. Should Rose be incharge of Silent Hill ( staying there and making sure it's functioning properly ) ot should she leave Silent Hill? Why or why not?
5. What do you think the upcoming Silent Hill film ( if there's any ) will be called? Why or why not?
After the flop of Revelations it's really up in the air. Sadly. I like it, it wasn't great but it was okay. They probably could make up by doing a revamp closer to the original story line but it's highly doubtful. So it seems currently the games and movies are pretty much on ice at the moment. At a complete stop till Konami gets their shit together.
Okay, so, honestly I'm not really looking all that forward for the next Silent Hill movies, at least if their production and storylines are as bad as the previous. I mean, the whole story's been tweaked, and it's like Shattered Memories, a complete alternate universe (where Dahlia's good, and Harry's a woman simply because he is "sensitive" and that's a "woman's characteristics")
It quickly became clear however Harry never acted like a masculine character. He was constantly dizzy, fainting, talking to himself, screaming and in fact was very vulnerable. We didn't want to betray the nature of the game by changing the character's feelings and motivations, so we felt it was better to change to a female protagonist and retain all those important qualities. I don't want people to think that I have been "politically correct" because we changed Harry into Rose. There is no political correctness in Silent Hill.

If there was a new Silent Hill movie and it was faithful to the original series, instead of a loose interpretation of the series, or even a based-off version of the series, then I would definitely look forward to watching it. I'd rather see a Silent Hill movie about a specific character (in my opinion, a movie about Walter Sullivan , following his story, and the 21 Sacraments would definitely be a favorite for me, the background of small characters like Carol and Clayton Doyle, or the origin of the Order and the Founders, giving us a more detailed, dramatic insight on things the game didn't focus much on).
Personally, I think that after the retcons, terrible changes to characters personalities and overall negative reception of Revelation, they should cut their losses and leave that movie universe behind. However, the potential is there for a good Silent Hill movie, so rather than try to condense a complicated story spanning multiple games into a feature length movie, they should adapt one of the games with a stand alone plot. While Silent Hill 4 could work, I would really like to see a Silent Hill 2 adaption - all the components are there and it is already a very cinematic experience. If they were to stay true to the source material, don't shy away from the more controversial topics and keep the atmosphere and emotional impact of the game, the end result could be something special.
