Retconning 1?[]

- Okay in my opinion it isn't a direct sequal to the first film cause if you remember at the end of it the mother and child are still in the silent hill relm where the father was left in the real world, this movie is more likely following the story line of the 3rd game MrAntony2U (talk) 00:20, August 20, 2012 (UTC)
- That really doesn't make sense when many actors are returning from the first film. It's definitely a direct sequel to the first film, you can't assume it's not just because Rose and Sharon were left in the Fog World. Design[]
Really liking that they seem to be keeping the visual flair from the first film. I don't have a problem if they do retcon the story from the first film, though I'm going to assume that they're probably just going to work it into the story rather than re-write it completely. The developers stated they wanted the film to be more accessible, and changing the story completely will just confuse people. Really liking the look of Heather too. The Script[]
The visuals of the film of the original were perfect. However, that the nicest thing I can say about the film. The first half was entertaining but the second half dwelved into nonsense. I hope this time around, they bring a more coherent, disturbing story line. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's going to be that way. Still excited, though.
- Eh... I don't think a lot of your average movie goers will understand this movie's story if they don't understand what I call the "Gillespie, Mason, Da Silva family tree". It's the main reason why the first movie got some mixed reviews, moreso from people who never played any of the games. - Wow, that just blew my mind. That 'family tree' is really confusing. Hate to say it, but I think that Roger Avary may have painted (or written) poor old Micheal J. Bassett into a corner. I trust that he's doing his best to get out of it, but I'm not so sure he can save himself without writing some nonsensical Deus Ex Machina crap into the script. Still, better wait and see.

Valtiel in the movie[]
Hmmm....
I'm not sure, but is Valtiel NOT appearing in the movie?
Because if he isn't, that sucks.

Just saw the movie.... Ideas for part 3?[]
There are three possible ideas for part 3 (movie.) 1. Its Chris looking for rose, thats how part 1 ended. 2. It's a prequel with Travis, because travis picked up heather and vincent at the end, saying "it's been awhile since i've been in these parts" 3. It's murphy. Because when travis heather and vincent were leaving silent hill in the sunny day, a prison bus drove in and when it did the fog and ash started to fall again, what do you guys think? - HardcoreHorror0304

- I disagree. The scene was terrible, a complete waste of acting talent and what could have been a deep and emotional scene. Then again, the same could be said of the entire rest of the movie. AlessaGillespie Talk Contributions 07:13, May 17, 2013 (UTC)
