The Snake Coin is a puzzle item found in a baby carriage inside of the Wood Side Apartments courtyard pool in Silent Hill 2. The pool has been drained and is completely empty, save for the aforementioned inexplicably placed baby carriage guarded by three Lying Figures.
The coin is one of three that must be used to solve the Coin Puzzle in Room 105 of the Blue Creek Apartments. The puzzle yields a house key when solved, which can be used to enter Room 209 on the second floor.
Trivia[]
The text around the edge of the coin is rōmaji (romanized Japanese) encoded in the Greek alphabet via the Script font. The decrypted text reads:
- TUGIHA [tsugi wa] EIICHI TOSHIKO RINTA ASUMA SATE
- (Next: Ei'ichi[,] Toshiko[,] Rinta[,] Asuma[,] Sate)
The names on the coin are rumored to be the given names of production crew members responsible for prop design (e.g.: item designer Eiichi Itō), and the "Next" designation may imply that the list is a continuation from "Tatsuki," a name similarly encrypted on the Prisoner Coin.
