The Apartment Stairway Key is found on a bed in Room 208 on the second floor of the Blue Creek Apartments in Silent Hill 2. However, the room can only be accessed via Room 209, which also requires a key in order to enter. The stairwell key unlocks the door to the second floor stairwell on the north side of the map, leading to the first battle with Pyramid Head.
Trivia[]
- The key is found on a bed where a pillow should be, possibly relating to Mary Shepherd-Sunderland. When looked at in this light, the key could be seen as a metaphor for how the pillow "freed" James, just as it frees him from the apartment complex.
