In the Devil's Pitstop, a safe can be found in a second floor bedroom. This safe requires a five-digit code to open; once opened, the handgun can be found and equipped. The puzzle requires not only a code, but also the knowledge of how the pattern of the dials operates, as more than one rotates at a time. The method of turning the dials is different for each difficulty level.
Solution[]
The first way of solving this puzzle is to find the code. This can be found by using a power cord (found in the drawer of a second floor bedroom) on a kettle in a room near where the power cord was found. Afterwards, use this kettle, and the following code will be revealed: 26381.
With the code, go into the bedroom with the safe, and examine it. Below are the three different methods of completing the dial puzzle dependent on difficulty.
Easy[]
- Turn dial 2 left one click.
- Turn dial 4 left two clicks.
- Turn dial 2 left three clicks. Dials 2 and 4 are now in position.
- Turn dial 1 right two clicks.
- Turn dial 3 right one click.
- Turn dial 5 left three clicks.
Normal[]
- Turn dial 2 right one click.
- Turn dial 3 left two clicks.
- Turn dial 4 left two clicks.
- Turn dial 2 right three clicks. All trick dials are now in position.
- Turn dial 1 right two clicks.
- Turn dial 5 left three clicks.
Hard[]
- Turn dial 2 right two clicks.
- Turn dial 3 left three clicks.
- Turn dial 2 right three clicks. Dials 2 and 3 are now in position.
- Turn dial 4 right one click.
- Turn dial 5 right five clicks. Dials 4 and 5 are now in position.
