History
Climax was founded in 1988 and has grown steadily into one of the world's leading independent developers of interactive software. It is made up of three divisions, each focusing on a single game genre: Handheld, Action and Racing.
Climax has released many games for all the major consoles: Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance, and Microsoft Xbox.

The company's highest profile and highest scoring games are: MotoGP: Ultimate Racing Technology series for Xbox, Xbox Live!, and PC and ATV Offroad Fury 3 on PlayStation 2.
Silent Hill series
When Team Silent disbanded, Climax took over the Silent Hill series. Silent Hill: Origins was developed by Climax for both the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 2 in 2007. They also developed Silent Hill: Shattered Memories for the Wii, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 2 in 2009. Climax have recently been advertising for a Narrative Designer to join the team who developed Shattered Memories as they work on their 'next-gen-project', though next-gen most likely means PS3 and Xbox 360, the advertisement states that applicants must have experience in the Horror/Adventure genre.
